Repinique 12" x 30cm - 6 tirants - Light - Rouge - édition ALEGRIA
The Repinique Contemporânea 12" x 30 cm – Alegria Edition (Red) is an essential instrument within Brazilian percussion, known for its sharp, bright and attacking sound, perfect for directing and marking signals within the drum kit.
Equipped with two synthetic heads and 6 tension rods , it offers balanced tension and immediate response, ideal for mixed techniques:
Short, thick drumstick + free hand (traditional samba style)
Two long, flexible drumsticks (typical samba-reggae technique)
Thanks to its Light construction , this repinique is extra lightweight (approx. 2.28 kg) , making it a comfortable choice for long marches, intense rehearsals, and street performances. Its Alegría red finish adds a vibrant and highly visible style, making it stand out in any formation.
Traditional in samba schools , the repinique serves as a guiding instrument , making calls, asking questions, and giving rhythmic patterns that the drum set responds to, working alongside the apito (whistle) as a leading element of the group.
Manufactured by Contemporânea , a leading brand in Brazilian percussion, this model combines lightness, resistance and excellent projection , making it ideal for batucadas, samba-reggae, comparsas and Afro-Brazilian percussion groups.
