Timbal 14" x 70cm alu - 8 tirants - Rouge édition ALEGRIA - Pro
The timbau or Bahian Timbal 14" x 70 cm – Alegría Edition (Red) is an essential instrument of samba-reggae , originating from Salvador de Bahia and especially associated with the famous timbalada . Its conical shape and synthetic drumhead allow it to produce a very expressive sound: high and bright at the edges , and low and resonant in the center , similar to the djembe, but with a lighter and more comfortable construction for use on the go.
Made of aluminum and equipped with 8 tension rods , it offers excellent drumhead tension, a firm response, and great sound projection. Its Pro design guarantees durability, stability, and professional performance, ideal for both stage and street performances.
Unlike heavier instruments such as the djembe, this timpani has a lightweight structure (approx. 3.91 kg ), allowing it to be played comfortably during parades or extended rehearsals, held by a strap .
The red finish of the Alegria Edition provides a vibrant and highly visible aesthetic, perfect for groups seeking visual impact as well as a powerful sound.
Ideal for samba-reggae batucadas , carnival groups, Afro-Brazilian groups and percussionists looking for a lightweight, durable timbal with a powerful and versatile sound .
